Delhi Ends All COVID-19 Restrictions, Schools to Go Offline from April 1

Amid a fall in COVID-19 infections, night curfew in Delhi will end from Monday, stated the government. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) also reduced the fine for not wearing a mask from ₹ 1,000 to ₹ 500. 

Schools can now take in-person classes from April 1. Shops, restaurants and other establishments can remain open till late at night, as the night curfew will be lifted now. The government will keep a strict watch to make sure that people continue to follow COVID-19 safety measures, said Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The restrictions will continue to be relaxed if Delhi’s positivity rate remains below 1%.

Meanwhile, the Home Ministry has asked states and Union Territories to consider easing the restrictions for social, sports, academic, entertainment, and religious events, and to relax the night curfew hours… (NDTV, February 25, 2022)
